Hello

I’ve been writing since I was a pipsqueak. Maybe not as young as I am in the picture on the left, but a pipsqueak nonetheless. My first story was about a pancake. My first poem was about how much I loved television. (Give me a break. I was only eleven.) The first musical I wrote was Brown Shoes Don’t Make It. (Thank you, Frank Zappa) At least physically, I grew up to be an author, poet, playwright, blogger, songwriter, copywriter, journalist, ghostwriter, business writer and occasional actress. Books with my byline include Bedtime Stories: The short, long and tall tales of a sleepwriter and Too Tall Alice. Linda Dini Jenkins and I coauthored the choreopoem If I’m Talking, Why Aren’t You Listening? Rochelle Udell and I wrote her web memoir The Adventures of The Baker’s Daughter and now post a weekly blog. I’m so proud that my story “London Calling” appears in Memories of John Lennon, edited by Yoko Ono. The Haight-Ashbury Literary Journal, Ovunque Siamo, The Paterson Literary Review, VIA: Voices in Italian Americana, Platform Review and other literary journals and women’s service and business publications have featured my writing. I was an Associate Producer on the award-winning independent film Surviving on LES and write songs as a member of Laverne + Ralph. I’ve found a home as a member of the Italian American Writers Association, and I’m married to the love of my life, Geoff. We live in New Jersey.
